I am a 21-year-old male and my mom is 50 years old. My mom suffers from spondylolisthesis. I don’t know how it happened to her and nor does she. I want to know how spondylolisthesis happens in humans. Why is it painful?

It  is due to inherent weakness of  spinal parts Pain is due to nerve compression
