How do general surgeon check fissure

I believe I have a fissure inside my rectum Other than that no other issues My gynaecologist diagnosed it and advised me to visit surgeon I just want to know how do surgeons check for fissure Do they insert any device in rectum? Or check with finger What exactly pls Tell Me I also want some good surgeon around Mumbai area female surgeon

Yes. Fissure local examination is by P/R , in that finger insertion is there but don’t worry , it’s with lignocaine jelly 2%

In anal fissure generally we avoid checking with finger Just looking at anal are fissure is seen If you are having pain while passing stools first try conservative with 1.green leafy vegetables, 2. Plenty of water, 3. Avoiding non veg for few days till u pass soft stools 4. You can use syrup lactulose at bed with plenty  of water for soft stools, 5.finally sitz bath using dettol  liquid  with  lukewarm  water It means you have to sit in small tub for 15 min two times daily will help
