High rheumatoid factor
Hi,
My brother has severe swelling in his joints in hands and legs. He is not able to move his hands and legs freely. He is diagnosed with Ra factor around 110 which is way beyond normal range. Please suggest how to proceed further.

Do anti CCP antibodies test to confirm the same. How old is your brother and what profession is he in? There are two components to the problem; the disease of anti CCP comes positive and the lifestyle. Disease can be controlled with medications and lifestyle modifications will be required so that there is no additional irritation and damage from our daily activities.
