Coats disease is not an absolute contraindication for vision correction surgeries. It’s just that you may need frequent retinal exams and/treatment. Moreover since you are high myopic the periphery of your retina needs frequent examination. In case there’s a hole or tear or bleeding in your retina that requires vitrectomy Surgery the presence of an Icl may interfere with diagnosis and or treatment. That’s the reason Eye doctors would caution you against vision correction procedures.
