High fever of 103°F is not a advisable state to get self treated. Consult your nearest physician. You can get down temperature by tepid sponging and iv paracetamol.. but major issue is there will lot of invisible losses of fluids due to high temperature. Blood pressure may get down and since dengue is rampant in this season,may lead to dengue shock syndrome and multi organ failure. Kindly, check complete blood picture for wbc and platelet count,dengue serology.. Give lot of fluids in form of coconut water,fresh fruit juices,ors.. large amount of plane water may cause electrolyte inbalance.. if not taking orally plan for iv fluids at 7 to 10ml/kg/hr and continue according to your physician advise.

If fever is not coming normal then you can give inj Perfalgan 500mg at home...

Hello there...I can understand your concern. Since the fever is running very high and is continuous, it is better he is given intravenous infusion of paracetamol. He might need broad spectrum antibiotics also. Given him plently of fluids and make sure he is hydrated properly. Give only home cooked meals. Consult a general physician at any hospital for further evaluation. Dengue fever is very common in this season. So he might need to get dengue serology also.
