Young lady,
Relax and chill. HS is prevalent in more than 70% of the world's populace and this stat is from way back when I was a student!!
What I am trying to say is you are not alone and there is absolutely no need for you to feel self conscious or guilty in any way.
If the testing physician who diagnosed you and started you on meds made you feel that way, then he/she is wrong.
Don't let this affect your daily routine most certainly and it shouldn't get in the way of your relationships but yes, do exercise caution and practice safe sex (barrier) when active infection is present to avoid spread and multiplication of virus 🦠
If in Bangalore, you are most welcome to come visit me in-person or discuss it on an online consultation on portals such as this or Apollo 24/7 etc where I am omnipresent if you wish for anonymity.
Either way a counsellor may also be useful but if your Dermatologist is empathetic, that's all you need. Stay strong and don't worry ... It is nOt a life n death situation. Go on and live your life to the fullest on your terms but responsibly.
Godspeed 🙏
