Help a friend fighting depression

A friend of mine seems to be suffering from depression. She used to excel at things, but lately she seems to be withdrawn from everything. She says she has thoughts of despair and hopelessness. I tried to get her to see a doctor but she says it won't help, as she believes things would never get good. How can I get her to seek help?

People with depression might also lose hope in consulting a doctor. May be she might accept for an online consult. V need to know more details before v give appropriate suggestions. She needs a psychiatrist evaluation. She can also consult me online directly through the Practo chat option. Her problem is easily treatable with counseling and if needed medications. Consult before her problems affect her personal or professional life.
