Heavy breathing during sleeping

My son breathes heavily while sleeping. I counted his total breathes a minute which are 15-16 breathes per minute. He has to open his mouth after some time as it becomes difficult for him. Please suggest what should I do ?

What is his weight ? It could be due to deviated nasal septum. Needs examination.
