Hey
The symptoms you’re describing—heaviness in the head, racing thoughts, difficulty processing information quickly, and social anxiety—can feel overwhelming and might make you doubt your intelligence or abilities. But let me reassure you: this doesn’t mean you have a low IQ. These are classic signs of chronic anxiety, possibly combined with mental exhaustion or cognitive overload. When anxiety is high, the brain shifts into “survival mode,” which makes it harder to think clearly, process conversations, or retain information. That heaviness in your head is often a physical manifestation of mental strain or even tension in your neck and scalp due to stress.
Social anxiety can make everything worse—it creates self-doubt, fear of judgment, and a tendency to overthink every interaction. But all of this is treatable. Through therapy, particularly CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), we can work on slowing down your thoughts, improving mental clarity, and building confidence in social settings. Simple relaxation techniques, grounding exercises, and journaling can also start relieving that mental pressure. Please remember, you are not broken—and you don’t have to figure this out alone. Help is available and effective.
