Dear patient, Since your dental hygiene, CBC, LFT, RFT, and sputum culture are all normal, and common causes like tonsils, PPI-refractory GERD, infections, and SIBO have been ruled out, this may be a case of extra-oral halitosis possibly linked to: 1. Sinus/postnasal drip (as you mentioned mild allergy) 2. Coated tongue or dry mouth 3. Psychogenic halitosis or heightened odor awareness (Halitophobia)
Next Steps
Simple Recommendations: 1.Use tongue scraper twice daily 2.Stay hydrated, chew sugar-free gum to reduce dry mouth 3. Consider a nasal saline spray or antihistamine for allergies 4. Try chlorhexidine or zinc-based mouthwash for 1 week 5. Avoid fasting long hours and include probiotic-rich food 6. If still unresolved, consider ENT re-evaluation and halitophobia counseling if necessary
Health Tips
Let’s manage this step by step This condition is manageable with the right approach Take care.
