Hi, It's not a life threatening issue if you have a gastritis due to H pylori. I am certain that your doctor would have started you on treatment for the same. Follow that. You will feel better soon

Dear patient. Don't worry. You will be fine in a couple of weeks if you take the treatment properly. H.pylori is a bacteria that causes ulcers in stomach. This can be cured completely with appropriate treatment which includes antibiotics and antacids. H.pylori alone is never a life threatening disease unless left untreated or is partially treated. If not treated properly, it can lead to stomach cancer. So please follow your gastroenterologist's orders for proper treatment and follow up to check if it has been completely treated.

Please provide more details. Have you undergone endoscopy? Do you have gastric ulcer? H.pylori infection is very common in the Indian population. It is actually considered protective against gastric cancer. So treatment is not warranted until and unless the patient has a gastric ulcer, which can only be diagnosed with endoscopy.
