Can upper GI endoscopy detect h pylori and sibo? I was just feeling burps and heaviness at epigastric region. I checked my iron and ferritin a month back because i was feeling hair thinning, it was 38 iron and 22 ferritin and 202 b12, just wanted to know if bad bacteria is causing all this? I also feel weak and fatigued.

Yes UGI endoscopy can detect H pylori. I will need the full form of Sibo to understand what you mean by it. As far as your symptoms are concerned it is GERD. You need to alter your lifestyle. After intake of food dont lie down for atleast 2 hours. Take small frequent meals. Avoid too hot or too cold food and liquids. Avoid tea and coffee. Basically avoid hurry, worry and curry. For your iron profile and b12, i will need reference range but it looks decreased. In indian females it is mostly nutritional. So eat healthy nutritious iron containing foods. Can take iron medications. Feeling weak and fatigued can be due to anemia caused by iron deficiency
Next Steps
Consult a gastroenterologist or gastrosurgeon.
