Gingivectomy ( laser reduction of gum tissue) if only gums are responsible . But sometimes a band of oral tissue is removed beneath the lips which is called lip repositioning surgery to correct enlarged gums . You may consult a Periodontist ( gum specialist dentist and laser surgery) .

The treatment would depend upon what is causing your gummy smile.
It could be due to
1) the large upper jaw or the position of the jaw is low
2) Short teeth
3) short or hyperactive lip
4) excess gum growth.
According to the cause you could either go for
1) orthodontic treatment (braces)
2) Gingivectomy (removes excess gums)
3) Botox injection (relaxes lip muscle)
4) ortho surgery (severe cases where the jaw position is corrected)
5) Veeners (where the size and shape of the teeth can be changed)
