Gross hydronephrosis in left kindney
We have done an ultrasound for our baby at 9 week pregnancy it shows renal pelvic if full AP diameter is 3mm at the 24 week of ultrasound we find a message''Left kidney shows Gross hydronephrasis right kidney is normal.
can it be cured later how to handle this in future does it mean left kidney is completely abnormal.
Hydronephrosis is dilatation of the collecting system of the kidney where urine is stored. It usually suggests a block at some level usually at PUJ. This needs confirmation following delivery with USG and if required DTPA renogram. Based on that treatment can be planned
