My grandfather has diabetes from last few years. But from last two months he has feeling cold in both legs. and he also has pain in both soles. So what tests and which medicines he need ?
Coldness in both legs and pain in the soles in a diabetic patient is most commonly due to Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy — nerve damage caused by long-standing high blood sugar. The most important first step is ensuring blood sugar levels are well-controlled, as poor control is the main driver of progression. A Nerve Conduction Study (NCS) can confirm neuropathy and assess its severity.
Next Steps
Get fasting and post-meal blood sugar, HbA1c, and a peripheral Doppler ultrasound (to rule out poor blood flow) done. Consult a physician for medication and foot care advice. Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.

He seems to have developed peripheral neuropathy. Firstly blood sugar levels need to be controlled very well. He can take tab neurobion forte one daily for 4 to 6 weeks. Tab pregabalin 75mg one morning and one evening for 15 days. Connect via practo for further guidance.
