Suffering with  frequent urination, USG abdomen shows 'Thickened 6 mm & irregular urinary bladder wall, post void residual urine is 151 cc., Grade lll prostatomegaly ~137 gms with median lobe projection into urinary bladder base'. Uroflow results:- VOID- 10/ 410/-, Qmax- 9.9 ml/s, Time to Qmax- 13 s, Flow & Voiding time - 104 s, Avg. flow rate- 3.9 ml/s. Urologist Doctor suggested for surgery which I want to delay for 4 months as I am preoccupied. Pl. advice if it is possible to delay & avoid surgery and can go for good Ayurvedic treatment for 3 months or should follow Urologist advice for immediate surgery.  Waiting your prompt good advices. Thanks.

Need for Urgent surgery is mandatory if you have any of the following 1) raised creatinine due to the upper tract deterioration 2) recurrent UTI 3) Stone disease Looking at your age the above Uroflowmetry parameters cannot be attributed to just outlet obstruction So as per my opinion urgent surgery is not needed But considering uroflow report it is definitely needed considering raised PVR
Next Steps
Till then you can try using Silodosin D (8/0.5 mg) if you are not using it already
Health Tips
can repeat USG once again after 3-4 months and look for PVR and upper tracts again
