I got diagnosed with HSV 1 through IgG test last week. My reading was 5.83 against a less than 1 for a negative result. I had one sore around my lip in August first week (5.5 months back) and nothing since. I have a long term partner and we're sexually active. 1. What precautions to take during sex to keep my partner safe? 2. How do I manage my own outbreaks? I have not had any in the last 5.5 months apart from the first kne 3. How do I distinguish a herpes sore from acne?
