Got a dry skin patch on right leg thumb

Hi For quite a while I've this dry patch of skin on right thumb. It appears as I got hurt by something but it doesn't pain and I don't remember getting hurt. I used boric powder but it doesn't has any effect. What could be done to get rid of it? I attached a photo of my thumb here.
