Your
liver function test is essentially normal.
Total bilirubin is only mildly elevated (1.22 mg/dL), which is commonly seen in conditions like Gilbert’s syndrome and usually does not require long-term medication if other liver enzymes are normal.
Golbi 300 is not a common cause of severe constipation, but since your constipation started after beginning it, the timing is worth discussing with your treating doctor. Also, if your Thyronorm dose was recently changed, please get a repeat
TSH, Free T4 test, as under-treated hypothyroidism itself can cause constipation.
For now:
* Drink 2.5–3 litres of water daily.
* Increase fruits (papaya, kiwi, pear, guava), salads and fibre intake.
* Continue Isabgol with plenty of water.
* Regular walking/exercise helps bowel movements.
* Do not strain excessively.
If constipation persists despite these measures, consult your physician regarding the need for medication review and
thyroid function reassessment. A stool softener such as lactulose may be used temporarily if required and is not habit-forming.
Next Steps
Repeat
TSH, Free T4 and discuss with your doctor whether Golbi is necessary and if it could be contributing to your symptoms
