I wanted to know if the blood sugar range for every glucometer is the same. Because the control solution range all differ. Also how accurate is GlucoOne? I had a fasting blood glucose of 315 a month ago and an HbA1c of 13. I didn't want to take medication so I switched to a low carb diet and regular exercise. A month later my fasting blood sugar is between 100 and 110 for the past few days on GlucoOne. I've been using GlucoOne the entire month to test my blood sugar. My test strips control range normal values are 68 to 92. Does this mean that I have to bring my blood sugar down to below 92?

Glucoone is accurate meter. The control solution range differs , it’s a fixed range and it’s set by manufacturer. The blood glucose levels measured fluctuate when tested with same control solution, strips and meter. Recommended fasting glucose levels are between 80-120, and 2 hrs post meal is 100-140. Are you testing post meals sugars. Your HbA1C is affected by both fasting and post meal sugars.
Next Steps
Please test your sugars 2 hrs post breakfast or 2 hrs post dinner in addition to fasting values and HbA1C is recommended in 2 months.
