Diabetes during pregnancy needs to b strictly controlled with fasting less than 90 and 2 hr post meal less than 120. Her doses of rapid acting insulin needs to be adjusted accordingly. And needs to be put on small dose of long acting insulin. This period is the period of embryo development and poor controlled during this time can be hardik for fetus.
