Hello madam, Gall stones above 15 mm needs surgical removal. Retaining gall stones may cause inflammation ( acute cholecystitis) which will endup in acute abdominal pain.

Symptomatic gall bladder stone require surgical removal. Retained stone can cause many serious complications including pancreatitis later. But asymptomatic gall bladder stone doesn't require any active treatment.
