Fungal infection over tattoo

Got a tattoo done on my hand around 1 month ago. Preferred healing time was 10 days. Few days after the healing a small pimple starting growing over the tatto. It started growing and growing and after 2 weeks it started discharging a clear fluid. I started medication by applying Neosporin powder after cleaning it properly. But didn't showed in such result. After a consultation from the tattoo artist started having ampilox tablets. But still there was no improvement. Then diameter of the pimple increased. I visited the tattoo artist and he said it is a fungal infection, so he asked me to clean it with a heal it ointment solution and then apply Neosporin powder over it and continue having ampilox for the next 5 days. I'm doing this since yesterday but everything I'm cleaning that area lots of clear , white and thin fluid is discharging from that area. Is it normal or is it something serious?
