Forgetting things is due to decrease concentration and this may have multiple reasons ranging from stress at work, low confidence,
vitamin deficiency, anaemia,
thyroid issues and so on .
Try doing one work at a time, avoid multitasking, keep a small diary or note pad ready whenever you r told any work. Start meditating and cultivate some hobby, this will release happy chemicals in brain which improves concentration. If your forgetfulness is associated with mood issues , sleep disturbances, smoking or other substance addiction, anger issues, meet a professional.
