Hi!
If you are non vegetarian, the protein in your son's diet is sorted. Although, I would suggest you to have red meat less frequently. Lean meats, fish, eggs is great.
For your son,
1. Try and make him understand why eating right is important.
2. Make him understand that he won't always have options.
3. Try various interesting forms of food like vegetable idlis, wraps, rolls, sooji pasta or rice noodles with a lot of vegetables. Try different ways of cooking... Many a times and interesting presentation helps.
4. Try grilled or sauteed vegetables along with chicken.
5. Involve him in grocery shopping, and cooking.
