When you go to the hospital, don't just talk to the doctor for two minutes while they are walking past the bed. Instead, go to the main ICU doctor (the Consultant) and tell them you are very worried and confused. Please sit down with them for 10 or 15 minutes and ask them to explain everything clearly.Don't be afraid to ask. It is their job to make sure you understand what is happening to your aunt. Ask them What is the main thing stopping her from getting better right now?
