2026-07-30 09:23:39
Sir I have taken finasteride for only six days now my ed and ejaculation is ok and swelling is gone. But sometimes when i check my testicles it appears big and some time time small. Is there anything concerning. I have also met general surgeon in my area he said there is nothing concerning. But when I search my symptoms in gemini/chatgpt it says testicular cancer. It has made me anxious I am unable to work

Don’t worry, just chill…It’s depending on body temperature, stress and contraction of the muscles.
Next Steps
If u remain anxious, the best next step is to see a urologist or get a scrotal USG, which is a simple and highly reliable test to r/o significant pathology.
Health Tips
Avoid repeatedly checking the testicles or relying on internet searches, as this often increases anxiety.

No need to worry. Testicle size varies naturally depending on external environment and also from hormonal changes etc etc.... so it's normal to experience such changes in testicle size.  Internet says cancer for everything. Don't rely on it.

Finasteride is not a medicine to start on your own. * It is mainly used for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and male pattern hair loss. * BPH is uncommon at 26 years of age, although it can occur. * Finasteride does not treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and may even cause sexual side effects in some men. If you have testicular swelling, a lump, persistent pain, or think you might have testicular cancer, do not self-medicate. Consult a qualified doctor as soon as possible for a proper examination and diagnosis. Early evaluation can make a significant difference.

Don't worry. What you're thinking is most likely not the case because there are no signs or symptoms suggesting it. If you're worried about testicular cancer, it usually presents with other signs and symptoms as well. So, please don't take it too seriously, but if you notice any persistent lump, swelling, or pain, it's always best to consult a doctor for an examination.
