If you are having pain on chewing and having sensitivity to cold stimulus, chances are your cavity has already reached pulp and causing this reaction. Moreover the tooth apex also needs to be examined, and it is not clearly visible in the xray. Even if the tooth gets restored, it might trigger an inflammatory response due to pulpal irritation and you might have to go for root canal.
Next Steps
Best option would be to go for the root canal instead of spending on restoration first and then eventually going for root canal treatment.
If you still persist on going for restoration, a gic restoration can be done temporarily and can be monitored for a while, then go for rct if pain continues.
Health Tips
be careful while chewing. do not eat hard foods from that side.
rinse your mouth properly and do not let food lodge in that area.
