Hello... Fibroscan needs to be interpreted with a detailed history. Are you an alcoholic? Do you have any chronic liver disease? If answer to above questions are yes then this result indicates chance for liver fibrosis and subsequent development of liver cirrhosis.

Median stiffness denotes how healthy is your liver. Liver stiffness normal range is 2-7 kpa. So your liver stiffness is mildly increased. Yes the increased is due to fatty liver, that means there is accumulation of fat in your liver. The risk factors for this is obesity, sedantery life style, diabetes, alcohol consumption, inappropriate diet.
Next Steps
There are few measures you can take to reduce your fatty liver. 1. Regular exercise. 2. Check your blood sugar levels, and if your diabetic get treated for it. 3. Meet a dietician and follow a balanced appropriate diet. 4. Cut down on alcohol( if you consume).
