Can't rule out typhoid because of the above test report , because Widal is best if sample is given on 2 nd week of illness , before or after that results can be dubious .Would like to know a few more details in history for proper assessment , before providing an appropriate opinion & further plan of action . We cannot rule out typhoid with just negative widal test , it's non specific . We need to heck symptoms and related investigations to know the cause of fever , plz consult for very low cost effective diagnosis

He might have a fever due to some other cause like viral because your father is not positive for typhoid. Is there any other test that has been done? Can you describe his symptoms?
