An isolated intracardiac echogenic focus (ICEF) is usually a benign finding and not alarming if there are no other abnormalities on the anomaly scan. Fetal echo is advised only to rule out subtle heart defects as a precaution, especially if the radiologist noted anything. Your wife’s mean uterine artery PI being at the 98th percentile indicates higher risk for placental insufficiency or growth restriction, so close follow-up, blood pressure monitoring, and growth scans are important.
