Hello
Since your child is active and has had no warning signs in the last 26 hours, this seems like a minor head injury. The lump is likely a local swelling and should reduce gradually. Just monitor your child for any unusual behavior, vomiting, or excessive sleepiness over the next day or two. No scan or medicines are needed at this stage.
Next Steps
Apply cold compress over the lump for 10–15 minutes at a time during the first 24–48 hours.
Give Paracetamol if there is pain or tenderness.
Avoid pressing or massaging the lump.
