Feeling pain while chewing after filling
I had underwent dental filling (GIC) on 5th Oct from that day till today I am not able to eat with my left upper tooth and whenever I chew from there I feel the pain somewhere inside but otherwise no pain and feels that tooth is going inside and coming out and I press and release. After taking x-ray the doctor couldn't find any problem. Then he recommending to other doctor for possible gum problem. I went there but over there as well I got to know there is no gum problem but cleaning is required, which is fine. And she suggested for refilling that should solve my problem. As of now the doctor have applied temporary filling since there is too much bleeding so she cannot see properly. Can I please know what is happening and why my tooth is bleeding while dental procedure and why I am feeling pain while chewing ?

The pain may be due to so many cause
It may be due to high point (slight excess of material) in the filling or the caries that reaches pulp region(nerve layer) of your teeth...
As now you have temporary filling now ,you will be comfortable ...The temporary filling will be there for 15 days...and after 15 days while removing that filling if your teeth is not bleeding then you can proceed with permanent filling....if it is still bleeding then root canal treatment has to be carried out

The possible reason for pain while chewing following a dental filling is the slight high point on the filling.
High point is the little excess filling which prevents the tooth to close in proper required position.
Since the dentist has removed the filling and there is temporary filling now, the high point prob is solved.
Another possible reason is that the decay has caused the bacteria to go into the pulp of tooth and you may require a root canal treatment.
Your dentist will analyse that and tell you.
