Heartbreak is acutely painful. It does feel like life has come to a stop. There is an emptiness which is all pervasive. Nothing excites you, nothing gives you happiness.
Of course your concentration will suffer. This is what heartbreak does. But this is also a part of life. Not everyone finds true love from the start or manages to retain it.
There is no easy answer to it. But time is a great healer. If you can find the strength within you, do try and take part in activities that get you moving and also brings you closer to people. If you love animals, reach out. Animals know how to give unconditional love which is what we all need. Eventually, you will learn to move on.

Since your exams are your immediate priority, do see a psychologist who can help you with some relaxation exercises and talk you through your most painful moments. Do visualisation techniques so that you can learn to let go and say goodbye to this chapter of your life.
