My baby is 1 month 15days old she is taking feed every 4 hours in night is it safe or i should feed her every 2 to 3 hours her birth weight was 3 kg then 200 gms reduced in 1st week andregained in 2 nd week and then she was stuck in 3kgs and after that now 1 month 2o days she is 1.77 so 4 hour gap is ok or not inbetween feed

Baby weight will reduce in 1st week by 10% it is normal But we have to feed the baby every 2nd hrly will 6 months for adequate weight gain and dont add any complementary feeds Baby should gain weight by 30gms/kg/day for first 3months If it is less then we have to increase the feed frequency Check baby urine output and well being

No don't do like that Give every 2nd hourly or atleast for 3hrs If u delayed for 4hrs baby blood sugars glucose will come down which has its own problems to baby
