My baby is 1 month 15days old she is taking feed every 4 hours in night is it safe or i should feed her every 2 to 3 hours her birth weight was 3 kg then 200 gms reduced in 1st week andregained in 2 nd week and then she was stuck in 3kgs and after that now 1 month 2o days she is 1.77 so 4 hour gap is ok or not inbetween feed

Baby weight will reduce in 1st week by 10% it is normal
But we have to feed the baby every 2nd hrly will 6 months
for adequate weight gain and dont add any complementary feeds
Baby should gain weight by 30gms/kg/day for first 3months
If it is less then we have to increase the feed frequency
Check baby urine output and well being
