Febrile seizure after MMRV vaccination
Hello doctors,
My 15 month old son got mmrv injection done on sat afternoon arnd 3 pm.
On next tuesday night arnd 12:30 am he developed high fever and within no time he got febrile seizure.
Can these both be related.
Can this vaccination cause such high fever after 3 days which can lead to seizure.

Usually febrile seizure post vaccination is a rare event and often occurs after at least 5 dayes
Febrile seizures in itself are very common and can be caused by an underlying infection.
However to say anything with absolute surety is impossible without ruling out other causes of fever (viral infection, bacterial illness).
Important to note that febrile seizures do not lead to epilepsy or long-term issues. So don't panic
