It sounds like you're experiencing a pattern of intrusive thoughts and anxiety related to interactions with people. While I can't provide a specific diagnosis, I can offer some general insights that might help you understand what could be happening and what steps you might consider taking: Social Anxiety: Your description suggests you may be experiencing symptoms of social anxiety. Social anxiety disorder is characterized by intense fear or anxiety about social situations, often due to concerns about being judged or evaluated by others. These anxious thoughts can persist even after the social interaction has occurred. Intrusive Thoughts: Intrusive thoughts are unwanted, distressing thoughts that can come to mind seemingly out of nowhere. In your case, these intrusive thoughts appear to revolve around interactions with people and the fear of not remembering those interactions. Avoidance Behavior: To cope with the anxiety and intrusive thoughts, you mentioned that you avoid talking to people altogether. Avoidance is a common response to social anxiety, but it can lead to isolation and further reinforce anxious patterns. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT): CBT is a highly effective therapeutic approach for managing social anxiety. It involves identifying and challenging negative thought patterns, learning coping strategies, and gradually facing feared social situations with the guidance of a therapist.
