Fasting sugar level 162 NON DIABETIC

My mother age 52 name Gayatri Singh having blood pressure but a non diabetic person. Her blood pressure is normal as checked by the doctor. But her fasting sugar is 162 as per measured today in home by the testing kit. So what should we conclude after this fasting sugar level , is there’s any possibility of diabetes to her. Please help me with your valuable advice. Thank you

It’s on the higher side. For fasting sugars Upto 100 is normal upto126 is impaired. Beyond that is diabetic range
