I'm facing a kind of burning sensation and peeling/dry skin on both sides near my lower lip and also on both corners of my nose. Does usage of vitamin c serum cause such damage? But I've been using plum 15% vitamin c serum for so long

Hi! What you’re describing—burning sensation, peeling, and dryness around the mouth and nose—can sometimes happen due to skincare products, including Vitamin C serums. Even though Plum 15% Vitamin C serum is generally considered mild, prolonged use or applying it near sensitive areas like the corners of the mouth and nose can cause irritation. Other factors that can contribute to this reaction include: Over-exfoliation (using other acids or scrubs along with Vitamin C) Dry weather or low humidity Lip-licking or frequent contact with t
Next Steps
Stop using the serum on the affected areas for a few days. Apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer to help the skin barrier recover. Avoid harsh cleansers or scrubs. If the irritation persists, redness worsens, or you notice cracks/bleeding, it’s best to consult a dermatologist for proper evaluation. Vitamin C is excellent for skin, but sensitive areas may need extra caution, and sometimes the product may need to be used less frequently or in smaller amounts.
