Eye strain due to light

My friend feels sleepy and sleeps off very deeply when bright light enters his eyes. When tests were done, there was no iddue with eyes, but this is dangerous driving and cannot be entertained while studying/working.. Pls suggest

Does your friend go to sleep only when exposed to bright light or often duting daytime he dozes off? By sleeping do you mean that he closes his eyes as he is unable to tolerate the bright light or he actually goes off to sleep? Does he snore a lot and does he not hv sound sleep at night?
