Etizolam and Clonozepam Interaction

2025-02-19 10:17:00
I have been dealing with panic disorder for the past 3 years and recently i met a psychiatrist who prescribed me a few meds. He gave me Etilaam Pro 20mg initially twice a day along with clonozepam as sos but now we have reduced the etilaam dosage to half. I wanted to know is it safe to take etizolam and clonozepam together? As clonozepam helps me better with anxiety but etizolam doesn't work that much but since i need to take etizolam twice a day, sometimes i'm just panicking and feel like having a clonozepam but i do not because i already had etizolam maybe an hour or 2 hours ago.

Both are benzodiazepines and usually not prescribed together. Also benzodiazepines are not to be taken on a daily basis for longer duration. Ideal treatment would be with SSRIs. Get a second opinion from an astute psychiatrist. Good luck

Hi Etilaam - Etizolam and clonazepam are sister drugs that work in similar ways with slight differences.
Next Steps
It would be best to consult your doctor who can optimise the dose of  either Etizolam pro or clonazepam to help you with Greater relief from symptoms.
