Between my first scan at probably 4 weeks and the second one 14 days later (both transvaginal scans), the gestational sac (31mm?? which seems too big?) didnt grow, but embryo itself measured 4mm at the second scan, which looks to be fairly consistent with 6 weeks. The doctor didnt see a heartbeat and immediately recommended curettage, but when I got home and read how very many women didnt see a heartbeat yet at 6 weeks I got doubts. Do you think I have already miscarried or is there hope?

Many times heart beat cn appear late . So if ur gestational sac was regular and fetal pole was present along with yolk sacu cn probably wait for 1 week to 10days and repeat a scan. If even after 10days cardiac activity does not appear u may opt for medical termination of pregnancy
