While taking bath some amount of water went in my right ear.The next day onwards for 2 weeks I'm having pain in my ear. The pain comes and goes .I went to ent doctor and he said the tympanic membrane is dull and there is no infection. Will my problem resolve on it's own?

When your doctor commented that your tympanic membrane was dull, he want that the problem is behind it! He may have prescribed you some decongestant nasal sprays to open up your blocked eustachian tubes to help resolve the middle war negative pressure that is causing your earaches.

The problem will eventually resolve on its own…it will speed up if you take steam thrice a day and do valsalva manoeuver..
