Hi there. This is Dr Satya Kiran ENT Surgeon from Hyderabad. Ear pain & itching might be due to lot many reasons most commonly being ear wax or cerumen, external ear infection bacterial or fungal, manipulation in ears, infection / allergy spread from nose.
