hi, usually your lower teeth should rest beneath your upper teeth,but in your case as u said your lower teeth are touching your upper teeth and it is evident in the pick which you have posted .so, the problem here is with the bite ,your upper middle teeth are slightly positioned mesially (inward) and your lower teeth looks slightly crowded too....
if the bite is not corrected ,there would be excessive bone loos in your front teeth which results in loosening of your teeth in future.
functional correction is important ,consult your dentist and get your orthodontic treatment.
