dupuytrens disease requires surgical treatment  if it is affecting function or when u r unable to straighten the finger. based on the involvement it can be treated in the office setting surgically under local anaesthetic or requires going to operation theatre for formal surgery. collaganase is in trial stage but currently treatment is expensive and results unpredictable. you need to consult an experienced hand surgeon for treatment in india as it is largely a disease seen in white population.

It is best managed in its early stage by Physiotherapy. Have regular sessions of Ultrasonic therapy and stretching exercises with TF. Consult orthopedic physiotherapist.

Hi, if you able to keep hand flat on the table- you don’t need surgery. If there are contractures then you need to release the bands, collagenase injection available with limited results. Have surgery by hand surgeon. Dr Gautam Tawari in Mumbai is hand surgeon.
