Hello doctors, I am 33 yr old male, I have a problem of drooling during sleep, no other problems. Are there any medicine for drooling? Any tests or anything else to be done? Drooling happens only during sleep, not otherwise, never when awake.

Do you have loss of teeth or any gum condition? If firmness of mouth is affected then during sleep this slack jaw can lead to drooling.

There are various causes of Drooling (Sialorrhea) like acid reflux, medication to more serious neurological degenerative diseases. Please consult a neurologist and ENT to rule out pathological cause. If no pathological cause is found , there are various medication available to reduce secretions like glycopyrolate, amitryptiline, pacitine etc
