Is there any relation between mental illness & person's intelligence ? If yes, then why every mental illness (like OCD, depression,anxiety etc) does not cause degradation/loss in person's mental ability ?

There is relation between environmental stressors and coping mechanism. Not so much intelligence. However, patient may not be fully perform his mental ability.
