Normal delivery is possible but it is dangerous. Baby having cord around the neck twice was not unknown before 1980 (when Ultrasound came to India) , but it was never diagnosed before delivery. So all ladies were given a chance to deliver normally and do a Caesarean only in case of some problems. But now we can diagnose the cord around neck before delivery and we are under Consumer protection Act. So no Obstetricians want to take any chances (however small the risk may be) and they do a Caesarean whenever we diagnose a case of cord around the neck twice.
