For a **2-month-old baby**, medicines containing **phenylephrine and chlorpheniramine** are generally **not routinely recommended** because cold medicines are usually avoided in infants below 6 months. Between the two doses you mentioned: * **5 drops (≈0.25 ml)** is a **much safer and lower dose**. * **0.5 ml every 6 hours** is relatively higher for a 2-month-old and should **only be given if the pediatrician specifically examined the baby and prescribed that exact dose**. Most colds at this age are **viral and self-limiting**, and treatment is mainly supportive: * Use **normal saline nasal drops** 2–3 times daily * Keep baby slightly **head elevated** * Continue **frequent breastfeeding** * Use a **nasal suction bulb** if nose is blocked Seek medical review urgently if: * Fever ≥ 100.4°F (38°C) * Fast breathing or chest retractions * Poor feeding * Excessive sleepiness or irritability If there is confusion between **0.25 ml and 0.5 ml**, it is best to **confirm the dose again with the prescribing pediatrician before giving the medicine.**

For a 2-month-old infant, phenylephrine + chlorpheniramine combination drops are generally not routinely recommended for common cold. If prescribed, the dosing frequency should be used cautiously in this age group. Giving 0.5 ml every 6 hours (4 times/day) is relatively high for a young infant.

Consult with Pediatrician physically for further evaluation and treatment

In 2 months old, vincia drops are not recommended. Can give nasal saline drops for nasal congestion. Better to avoid all kinds of cough n cold medications in less than 3 months old kids. However, if your pediatrician has recommended them, you can give 2-3 drops 3 times a day

Please dont use cold / cough syrup or drops at this age..strictly to be avoided. Any fast breathing / persisting cough needs to evaluated physically by pediatrician !!

Don't use

Give only Nasoclear Nasal drops 1 drops each nostril 4-6 hourly 5-7 days or as per need

Don't give Vincia drops it's not allowed in less than 1 yr of age It had very dangerous side effects So don't use and stop it
